Relationships
I don’t think there is anyone right now who isn’t missing being with others. Even those of us who are introverted are struggling. The real sickness going around is cabin fever!
I went to pick up lunch for my family the other day (I was SO excited to get out!) and the wonderful lady walking out my order stayed in the sprinkling rain to chat, 6 feet from my window no less. She desired community with her patrons and is being denied a simple human desire.
Humans were created for relationships. I think we can all agree on that statement. There might be some discrepancy on what makes up the relationship: families, friends, pets, or Netflix. But we all crave relationships.
Here is the real fact: not only were we created for relationships, but we designed for one special relationship. Yes, your ultimate purpose in life to have a relationship with the one who designed you. And this guy doesn’t make mistakes; his designs are flawless. We may not understand his perspective, but he always has a larger plan than we can ever fully see. He is crafting and weaving every detail.
Your designer, and creator is Jesus, who made heaven and earth, everything you can see and the things you can’t! And in Him all things hold together. (Col 1:16-17)
So in this time of isolation when we cannot draw close to each other, take some time to draw closer to our Creator. He desires that more than anything else.
